Applying French visa from Portugal

Hallo,

Just want to share the information about applying visa because sometimes it can be a bit tricky and also because it's still fresh in my memory so it's better to type it down before I completely forget about it.

The documents that you need for applying visa:
1. a passport valid for more than 3 months with blank pages for visa
sticker.
2. a long term visa form.
3. an ID picture 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm
4. copy of insurance documents.
5. copy financial documents.
6. an invitation letter from UPMC.
7. a statement about your accommodation in France from UPMC.
8. copy of residence card
9. copy of scholarship documents (if you have scholarship)
10. a declaration from University of the Algarve that you are a student there.

How to apply the visa?
1. Go to the embassy around 8.30 until 11.30 to hand your documents and do fingerprinting. No appointment is needed.
2. If the visa is done, go back to the embassy and bring your passport as well. The officer will print the visa and done!

How much is the visa?
It's free (at least for a scholarship awardee).

How long will it take?
In my case, it only took 3 days (applied on Monday and got it on Thursday).
